Our Plans for 2010 - We Need Your Support

"Of all the forms of inequality, healthcare injustice is the most shocking and inhumane." - Martin Luther King, Jr.

In 2009, the goal of the Health Care for America Education Fund (HCAEF) and Health Care for America Now (HCAN) was to create a nationwide movement to win the implementation of comprehensive health care reform.

We did it!

HCAEF and HCAN built a base of grassroots activism and a national movement at all levels of the democracy that gave powerful voice to the growing demand for action, advanced the agenda for health care change, and answered those forces who argued against quality, affordable health care for all.

Now, the real work begins.

In 2010, HCAEF is taking the lead to:

  • Ensure health care reform is understood by the public - using grassroots efforts and national communications
  • Conduct research on components of reform to ensure it's working the way it should
  • Carry out implementation efforts of various parts of the reform so that everyone who should benefit will benefit
